‘Primordial Swamp’

‘I am always reluctant to discuss my work, as I believe it should only communicate visually; preferring to leave inflated verbose explanations to the conceptualists and dilettantes. But what I will say is that I want the paint to dictate its final journey, creating its own forms and destiny. Appearing and crawling out of a primordial swamp of voluptuous oils, minerals and organics; just like the very first primitive orgasms did.’

The Demise of our Institutions?

I heard the other day that a famous British art museum was scared to exhibit a famous artists work during his retrospective, because there were images of cocks in his repertoire. What has happened to our artistic institutions we once held in high regard, when they censor a show out of fear and political correctness? It appears the days of artistic and academic integrity have long gone, replaced by an insipid, sycophantic group who are only concerned with fulfilling financial quotas and playing safe !
